Before you land
Confirm your booking confirmation number and check that the name on the reservation matches your passport or ID. Keep both your driving licence and a credit card in your carry-on — you will need them at the counter.
Terminal 1 (T1)
Rental desks are on the ground floor arrivals hall. Follow the Rent a Car signs after passing customs. Most major suppliers are inside the terminal building itself, so there is no shuttle required.
Terminal 2 (T2)
T2 has three buildings: T2A, T2B, and T2C. The rental car area is a short walk from T2B arrivals. If you land at T2A or T2C, use the free inter-terminal shuttle or the covered walkway.
At the counter
Have the following ready:
- Booking confirmation or reference number
- Driving licence (and an international driving permit if your licence is not in Latin script)
- Credit card in the main driver's name
- Passport or national ID
Picking up the car
Before driving away, walk around the car and note any existing scratches on the condition form. Take photos on your phone for your own records. Ask the agent about fuel policy — most cars are provided with a full tank and should be returned full.
Leaving the airport
Follow signs for Sortida / Salida (Exit) to reach the AP-7 motorway towards Barcelona. The journey to the city centre takes around 20–30 minutes depending on traffic.
